CDF’s movement curriculum for young children, Movement-to-Music, is an imaginative exploration of skills and concepts using movement, songs, stories and colorful props and rhythmic instruments. The curriculum progresses as the children learn and grow through the preschool years. Classes are taught with care and enthusiasm, creating an environment with both spontaneity as well as structure. Classes are accompanied by a musician, an essential element to CDF’s Movement-to-Music curriculum.Click here for development guidelines and CDF curriculum.

Each class meets once a week.

2 Year Olds
(These students should be 2 by October 1st)
This class is taught with special care and the understanding that for many 2 year olds, this is the first exposure to an activity that doesn’t include Mom or Dad.

Spring Performance for 2 year olds (Fee:  $30.00):
During their last class in May 2011, 2 year old classes will share some of what they have learned with family and friends -- complete with something special to wear -- at Children's Dance Foundation.

Spring Performance for 2 1/2 year olds (Fee: $60.00):
Friday, April 29, 201 in the evening at CDF's Studio Theatre. The fee includes a costume, which you will keep. An informal reception follows.

 

Class Attire:
Girls: leotard (any color/style), pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Boys: T-shirt, shorts or sweat pants, ballet shoes or bare feet
