The Student Ensemble Program is unique to our community. The Program, for students in 6th grade and up, fosters a well-rounded dance experience by providing dance technique classes and an opportunity to learn choreography and perform in the community. The Ensemble is a lot of fun to be a part of and is also a serious commitment.
Ensemble students should have a passion and curiosity for dance and also make the required classes and rehearsals a priority in their extracurricular activities.
The commitment for each Ensemble member is to attend three or more of the following technique classes per week as well as rehearsal. Missing more than two rehearsals jeopardizes your participation. The Ensemble will perform in the community and in CDF’s annual performance, FREEFORM, December 11 & 12 (dress rehearsal on December 10). Also note that special weekend rehearsals may be called close to performance time.
This Fall, Ensemble students may choose to participate in the Modern Ensemble and/or the Ballet Ensemble. The fee for participating in one Ensemble is $125 per semester and the fee for participating in both Ensembles is $200 per semester.
