Movement to Music
CDF’s unique Movement to Music curriculum is a great way to introduce your young child to the joy of dance. Students will develop rhythmic accuracy, build motor skills, strength, coordination and increase listening skills. These classes are accompanied by a musician and meet once a week.

12-24 Month OldsParent/Toddler Class
This class is especially for toddlers, 12-24 months old, and a grown up. Share music and movement with your child in this summer session led by a creative team of dancer and musician.

Movement to Music for Children with Special Needs
This class is designed for school-aged children (ages 5 and up) with Down Syndrome and/or Autism. An instructor and musician will lead children on a creative journey of magic and movement using props, scarves and simple musical instruments. Tuition is discounted through a grant from VSA arts Alabama. For more information about arts programs for children with disabilities, visit www.vsartsalabama.org.

Ballet Enrichment
for entering 6th -12th graders
This weekly class is designed to continue the dancer’s training throughout the summer in preparation for pointe and pre-pointe work in CDF’s fall ballet program. Students will work on developing strength and flexibility through basic exercises at the beginning of the week in preparation for more complex exercises in Thursday's class.  Therefore, students who wish to enroll in Thursday's class must also enroll in Tuesday's class.
Fee: $130 (Tuesday only) / $200 (Tuesday & Thursday)

Contemporary Dance
for entering 6th -12th graders
In this high-energy weekly class combining modern and jazz dance techniques students will work on developing strength, endurance and musicality through a warm up, center phrase and across-the-floor combinations.
