Under the direction of Charla Cochran, StageDoor is committed to providing engaging, innovative, and socially
relevant theatre for young performers and audiences of all ages. Like CDF’s other programs, StageDoor Youth Theatre believes in nurturing the creative spirit in everyone, encouraging its young performers to grow artistically while at the same time providing excellent arts entertainment for our community. StageDoor provides opportunities for young people to attend workshops and acting classes as well as participate in full-scale productions.
The StageDoor Youth Theatre Company provides the following opportunities for students to learn the art of theatre and to perform:

Creative Drama for 1st & 2nd Graders
Acting for 3rd-9th Graders
Musical Theatre Dance
The Student Acting Showcase: our end-of-year performance by the StageDoor acting students that are registered for one of the weekly acting classes. This performance is held the second weekend of May at CDF’s Studio Theatre.
Two-week Summer Theatre Camp: Entering 6th -8th graders will explore all aspects of theatre, led by a caring, enthusiasticand talented faculty of theatre artists including Charla Cochran and Alexa McElroy.
The opportunity to be cast in a full-length play produced once per year.
