Diane Litsey received her B.S. in Arts Management from Eastern Michigan University and studied management at Columbia College in Chicago. She became Executive Director of Children's Dance Foundation in 1991. Before moving to Birmingham, Diane wrote policy and procedure for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and produced the Taste of L.A. Before moving to Los Angeles, she produced the inaugural three years of the ten day performing arts festival, the Michigan Festival. Prior to the Festival, she was the Program Coordinator for the Downriver Council for the Arts in Metro Detroit. Diane serves as Immediate Past President of the board for the Alabama Dance Council and is a board and executive committee member of the Homewood Chamber of Commerce. She is on the Advisory Committee for the Seasoned Performers. She is a past board member of VSA Arts Alabama, Southern Danceworks, the St. Mary's Episcopal Church Child Care Center, and the Jefferson/Shelby County Child Abuse Task Force. She is a recipient of an Alabama State Council on the Arts Management Fellowship and a graduate of Leadership Birmingham.
